I’m Glad Reagan Is Dead says Killer Mike

We will eventually get around to a video review for Reagan from Killer Mike, but let’s discuss the song itself for a moment. Reagan is dead now, and has been for quite some time. However in some political arenas he is spoken about as if he was a hero. If you listened to the I Used To Love H.E.R. remix from Murs, he talked about how Reagan’s policies negatively impacted the hood. Speaking from a west coast perspective, in a respectful response to Common’s east coast view of the situation.

I think over time, as more information has been revealed, both coasts better understand what went on.

Under Reagan, Oliver North and the CIA participated in drug trafficking (the original Rick Ross) . At home, a ‘war on drugs’ simply created an excuse to lock black people up.
