"Dis Generation" by A Tribe Called Quest featuring Busta Rhymes
AH Video Review Rated:
You can get it today! Tribe Dropped the video for “Dis Generation” on us a couple days ago.
Tribe has always been the leaders of the new. Their endorsement of ‘dis generations’ true gate keepers should solve most debates. But this is a video review! 4 Powerful fists up for this moving visual ensemble. Featuring the legendary Busta Rhymes, we travel through a ‘moment’ in time of Dis Generation. While talking about serious shit over this dope, jazzy beat Tribe is almost ‘floating’ through these spaces.
It’s a beautifully thought out video. Simple yet, conveys what’s really going on. Most of us are just out here trying to live, survive, and hit a concert every now and then. See a good show. I love how they’ve brought Jarobi back while continuing to intertwine Phife, who like a Jedi Master MC will live on through these verses.
While others like, Kendrick Lamar, J-Cole, Earl Sweatshirt, and Joey Bada$$ keep ‘the force’ alive.
(Peep this video with a few of Joey Bada$$ and Earl Sweatshirt’s dopest verses. Two of ‘dis Generations’ finest – )

Through hip hop serious matters, or even general day to day information can be shared. This is a tool of communication that, frankly, white owned companies have no interest in. So Migos, Bad and Bougee type of rap is going to usually get more ‘love’ from these large outlets, aiming to get Dis Generation to consume, mindlessly. It’s up to you, the audience, to support real Hip hop. Play it for your friends. Discuss the lyrics if cats ‘don’t get it’. Still as influential as ever, now and forever.
Student of the past trailblazing a daze, Not acknowledging a trend or swept up in a phase
We still the highest of commodity grade, And you could get it, get it, get it, get it today – Phife Dawg
