Artist: Smif-N-Wessun
Track Name: Sound Bwoy Bureill Remix
AH Track Rating:
Remember that time Smif N Wessun grabbed that En Vogue Sample and hit us with bars upon bars?
Well in case you forgot, let’s take you back to a time when hip hop was truly about those bars. There was also a lot of cats who were bringing in that island Jamaican flavor too. That’s what we had on this track, from Bucktowns finest. Classic 1994 shit. 3 lit fires, because even though they flipped that sample, it wasn’t an original. Lyrically though … Smif-N-Wessun have come better. They still ripped this. This song also features members of the mighty Boot Camp Clik, O.G.C. (original gun clappers) during the ‘golden era’ of hip hop.
*update 3/15/19 :: Book Camp Clik veterans, have returned, with “The All” .. and this new official video for Testify. – listen to that one now; (See the review too)
Just in case you’re a ‘young head’ and don’t know what En Vogue we are talking about, peep that classic below.
